Has any used Dr Alvarez recently? Was there any crime problems or worry?

Hello, I have been researching and found Dr. Alvarez in Piedras Negras Mexico. I have talked to several people begging not to go because of the crime and violent asks in border towns and in mexico in gernal. I was just wondering if there were any problems or threats while you were there and how safe the town was? Thanks
