Highmark BC BS PPO 6 month diet

I have Highamark BC/BS PPO and I know I need a 6 month diet with my doctor can I just go and bascially weigh in once a month or do I need to see a nutritionist once a month also? Any information you can give me on this I would REALLY appreciate. Thanks for everything. KARI B.
