3 weeks today and seem to be losing very slow

gained alot while on the iv liquid in the hospital. took 2 weeks for that to be gone and now have lost only 8 lbs additional. eating, drinking and excercising. my 2 week post op doctor was pleased. any body know when you really notice a loss. had rouen y.
