Are there 2 different types of VSG's?

I went to my PCP yesterday and he said something about there being 2 different types of VSGs, has anyone else heard about it or know something about it? I was wondering if he was mixing it up with VBG which I have no clue about at all.....maybe I should check that out. Whatever it possibly have some kind of tube in it but I really didn't ask any questions because he isn't the surgeon.
