Has anyone heard of someone getting a brain tumor after WLS...

I have a dear friend who had Lap RNY 3 months ago. After extensive testing she was approved for the WLS. Last week she was diagnosed with a pituitary brain tumor that was wrapped around her caratoid artery...is there anything that could have caused this that was surgery related or just unfortunate coincidence?
