I called and my insurance company says they exclude this blchoicega

I called and they said that any procedures concerning weight loss is excluded. I see where several people have blue choice ga, and got approved. My plan is under state health, as I am a teacher. I have not started the process to be approved, so do I go ahead and try to get this approved anyway? I need somebody to hold my hand and give me some lead! I'm lost. Thanks! Marla
