Having a hard time losing the 27 LBS I need to get a surgery date.

I was approved about 2 months ago and met with a surgeon that I love. Dr. Fisher at Kaiser Richmond Ca. He said "Lose 27 pounds and then call me to set up a surgery date!" I was so happy. I thought that I would be able to lose that no problem since I have lost 30-40 pounds on crap diets several times. But I am having a really rough time. Advice please?
