has anyone's hair grown back longer on one side than the other?

I lost most of my hair on the right side of my head. (crown to temple)In that area the hair is not growing very fast. My hair was very long now i have cut it short, but i have to get the left side cut often. My stylist has nothing to offer in advise. please send me some help.
