Has anyone experienced hyperthyroidism AFTER surgery ?

Has anyone experienced hyperthyroidism AFTER surgery and weight loss? I had the sleeve and have lost about 160 lbs. its been a lil over a year and now my levels are coming back high and the dr is requesting an ultrasound. I've never been told of thyroid issues before surgery?
