How much/what kind of protein can I have now that I have gout?
Had Rouen-Y surgery in 2004, very successful, no problems. Now, have been experiencing mild gout attacks. MD said to reduce amt of protein consumption, but how will this affect my metabolism? Currently working out 3-4x/wk, trainer is pushing high protein/low fat, low carbs. What can I eat? I am a tuna and turkey hound, now both out of the picture. Please advise, and thanks in advance for your help.
