Lap Band or Gastric/ Life expectancy

I was just wandering what the life expectancy is with the gastric bypass. If older patients have problems that would aid to their life expectancy. I know all the problems we have being obese will kill us, but I want to know how old do gastric bypass paitents live to be. Trying to decide which surgery to get. And what are some of the problems some of our older veterans are having.
