Revision?? Lost 150lbs, still morbidly obese
Had surgery 10/2004, started 377lbs, lost to 230lbs. I am now back to 260lbs d/t medication. The weight loss exposed a rare condition my docs (or I) didn't know I had that was hidden by the weight. Anyhow, I am now considering revision as a self-pay so I can at least see the 100's and be healthier. A small story of my wls road: lost great for 10mos, then stopped cold. I have found out recently that all food is going straight thru me and that is because of the surgery. I don't want the hassle of dealing with insurance so I would rather self-pay. Anyone experience anything like this?? Have any idea if lap-band would be better to help the food stay in my stomach? I originally had lap-rny that my ins paid for. Thanks for your responses and yes I will be talking to my docs about this. But as with the original surgery, I am going to research this to death so I can go prepared to ask them all my questions up front. Thanks again.
