Anyone experience problems with hearburn and acid reflux 8 years after Gastric Bypass

I have been having trouble with heartburn and acid reflux for about 2 months now. I had my surgery 8 years ago. I am on Nexium and Carafate which are not working. I have an appointment to go back to my GI doctor in the beginning of February as my PCP feels she needs to explore what is going on because I have had gastric bypass surgery. I am miserble. I have enough other health issues to deal with without adding something else. Is there anyone else who has experienced this problem?
