Is there anyone who has experienced fluid build up around their (LP)access port?

I had lap band surgery in April. At my last two visits to my surgeon he removed over 500 cc's of fluid from my stomach area. I have a small melon shaped hump on my left side.The fluid builds back up quickly. My doctor claims this is my body's reaction to having foreign material implanted. Will this situation go away with time?
