Is there anyone out there that can't take oral iron due to constipation?

I am in process of scheduling WLS but I'm really concerned about the iron issue; Oral iron leads to constipation for me no matter how small the dose. Any advice? Words of wisdom? I keep telling that to the Drs. butI get no concrete response. It's like they don't believe me. I have a visit this coming friday with the WLS surgeon-Feb 11 and I'd like to be prepared; Thanks
