Do any post-op patients take Lithium?

I have Bipolar Disorder and have been taking Lithium for over 2 years. One of the major side effects of Lithium is increased appetite and weight gain. This is quite evident in me as I have gained 100 pounds. I am wondering how someone handles an increased appetite after WLS surgery when you are not able to eat more than 2 oz, or if this is even an issue? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
