Has anyone been told not to ever take any pain relievers but tylenol.

I have a lot of pain in my hips. I used to take celebrex for arthritis. I would like to take it again, even if only once or twice a week. I didn't even know I had the pain in my hips until I quit taking it. I had been taking it for my knees. Has anyone, post op a few months been cleared to take it again?
