can any body tell me if after gastric bypass can you take flaxoil

i have had a gastric bypass ,and my hair is drying out.i had my blood work done everything was good ,so i posted a question on here about my dry hair and skin,got back results said to use flax,well i found out that flax swells in stomach,and could be not safe for me to use ,can any body tell me if it is safe for me to use the flaxoil liquid?because i use the pills for a week and i liked it cause it helped me to be regular and i have always had a problem with thateven before sugery.but i am scared to take the pills but i have not tryed the liquid yet so please let me know if i take it will it be safe thanks so much
