Has anyone picked up another insurance just to cover this surgery?

I have found out that my husbands insurance through his company has got the dreaded exception in the policy of no WLS for obesity including morbid obesity.Im so tired of trying to find ways around this and am ready to have this surgery.I am wondering has anyone just gotten an individual medical policy for just for themselves outside of any job to have this surgery,this is what I want to do but I need to know where to start.Please help!
