Gastric Bypass RNY vs. Gastric Sleeve

Anyone out there with diabetes and an ileostomy that has had either surgery? Doctor tells me he wants me to have the sleeve, but because of my diabetes, he then says the RNY is best for me. What to do? I am at 266 and am 5' 3" I'd appreciate any input! Can't have DS or Lapband.
