Has anyone had revision surgery due to your surgeons mistake? Please let me know.

I am 3 yrs post op. Initially i had lost 100lbs, now I have gained about 20 lbs back and am stable at that weight. My weight loss slowed down about 6 months out and I began having stomach pain going into my back at times. I was prescribed more meds for acid (4 diff types now). Long story short, I finally had an upper GI and an endoscopy showing that I have a fistula (opening from my pouch to my old stomach) which needs to be repaired by revision. It is causing my hindurance of losing any more weight and is causing acid to dump into my pouch and causing inflammation (which is causing the pain. On top of that my old stomach is retaining food from the pouch and draining very slowly. Please tell me if anyone has had this and what the results were. I was told yesterday by my new surgeon (Dr. Tarnoff in Boston) that the risks of something happening during or after surgery now rises to 40% especially leaks (most could be contained and drained with a wick), the fatal risk is the one really bothering me. Please help with any info. ~Debi in NH~
