FOr the ladies-menstrual cycle during surgery?

I know it may be a weird question, but, if I end up getting my monthly visitor a day or so before surgery, or even on teh day of, will they still go ahead w/the surgery? ALso, have any of you experienced this, how did it go as far as changing stuff, etc?
