Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome and obesity
Hi, I've had PCOS for years and have had to take hormonal supplements to menstruate at all. I was told that if the uterus is not flushed out every 90 days you're at high risk for uterine cancer. Anyway, I am 11 weeks postop and just started my first non-pill induced menstruation in about five years! I can't believe it! I hope that this is a sign that as I lose weight the PCOS will abate. I hope I'm not grossing anyone out with this topic, but this syndrome is described as being both caused by obesity or obesity causes the syndrome, they're not quite sure. Anyway, boy was I surprised! If anyone else has PCOS and is pre or post-op, don't hesitate to write.
