I have to have a revision due to health problems

I've been hospitalized twice this year with abdominal pain. The first time was in January - I spent 5 days in the hospital, had many tests and ended up having my gallbladder removed. The second time was in February, doubled over with abdominal pain. More tests were done and it was determined I needed revision surgery. I was sent to a doctor and have been pushed right through as emergency surgery scheduled for 5/5/09 unless I end up in ER again or they have a cancellation. Sorry this is so long. Because I didn't go through "the normal" channel of having to see psych or classes, do you think I'll have a problem getting insurance to pay for this? Has anyone else had this happen to them and what was their outcome? Would appreciate any response back. Thanks, Susan
