can i shock my body into weight loss at months?

im 8 months out and been at a plateau for about 2 months. I know im cheating and its my fault, but i really want to kick it into gear now and make some changes. can i kick start it by doing a liquids diet for 2 weeks again? will this shock my body into weight loss or will it think its in starvation mode and hold on to all my fat?
