Blood pressure medication

I wanted to know if anyone of you are on high blood pressure medication,and if so,which one? I am concerned because of our absorption factor. I was taking 5mg of Vasotec,and I don't think it's doing anything except making me retain fluid,so any info from you angels would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
