Can you have juices mixed with alcohol?

I posted a question a couple of days ago asking what type of alcoholic beverages could I have. One of the poster told me that I could have pineapple juice or orange juice. I always thought that I wouldnt be able to drink things like that because of the sugar. So is that not the case? On occasion can I really have pineapple juice or orange juice with some coconut rum?
