What type of over the counter sinus meds are safe to take?

I'm 5 1/2 weeks post and have been having sinus pain for quite a while. Usually 2 Tylenol Sinus does the trick. However they are gel capsules (and I think are time released). I bought some Afrin nasal spray but it doesn't really work. I don't want a prescription but would rather try something over the counter. Any suggestions? (At 1 week post op, I tried crushing the Tylenol Sinus and mixing it in liquid -- unbearable!) Thanks in advance for your help.
