is there anyway to prevent adhesions?

after having a hysterectomy, i had to go in and have adhesions cut out 6 wks later. if anyone knows if these will continue after any surgery please let me know. i want to have wls but i am scared of having to go back into syrgery and i don't want that. i was in servere pain for 6 wks till they had to reopen me. please e-mail me if u have any answers.
