Oschner says must have psych eval before referrel to bariatric dr....

PCP office states OHP requests psych eval before they will even give me referral to bariatric dr or surgeon. Any one else had this experience....is this just a delaying tactic, hoping I'll "go away"? Anyone dealt with Oschner can give me some tips?
