Do vitamins interfere with synthroid absorption?

I was telling a friend of mine, who is a nurse anesthetist, about my synthroid dosage not being adequate since surgery. She take it also -- and was telling me that taking multi-purpose vitamins or calcium within six hours of taking the synthroid makes the synthroid ineffective. Since I take all of my vitamins together (except iron and Calcium). Has anyone heard anything like this before?
