I am intersted to know if anyone else has heard sugar stretches the pouch
I recently read a posting on another site and that person (9 years post-op) stated that you should consume only 4 grams of sugar or less at a meal as sugar will cause your pouch to stretch. I am quite familiar with dumping syndrome and its symptoms but have NEVER heard anything about sugar causing your pouch to stretch. This sounds a little far-fetched. In the two years of research I have been doing I have come across nothing of the sort. I would appreciate any information or clarification the medical community subscribed to this site could provide.
