has anyone had a severe reaction to fosomax?

I was diagnoised with osterpenia. Was told to take Fosomax. Followed directions to a tea, Saturday morning. By that afternoon I started feeling achey. By Monday morning I was crying, the pain was so intense. It was like having the worst stiff neck in the world but it was my whole body. It hurt to take a deep breath. Went to the doctor and he said he didn't know what to do. It is now Weds and it is slowly getting better. The pain is slowly subsiding. Was wondering if anyone else has had such a reaction and do you do to build up your bones? Thanks-Sandy
