Has anyone had kidney failure following wls.

I am thirteen months post op and my kidney stopped functioning after I had my surgery. Does anyone with kidney problems have a difficult time choosing their daily water and protein intake; and does the kidneys not functioning interferes with the amount of weight a person can lose because the body is unable to flush waste materials properly?
