Has anyone had wls while suffering from a kidney disease?

I'm 23 years old and suffer from FSGS, kidney disease where I spill protein. I just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem and was still okayed by surgeon to proceed with wls. I do not have diabetes or hypertension. Thanks
