Did having your gallbladder removed help your gas?

I don't think I've seen this asked here before and it is a situation that I am currently dealing with. I had a scan of my gallbladder and it showed small stones and sludge. While I am not having excruciating pain or nausea, I do have a constant "tenderness" in that area. However, I have extremely bad gas and odor. I have been told that a bad gallbladder will sometimes cause this. But I also know that just by having the RNY can cause the bad gas/odor as well. My question is this... Is there anyone out there who post op WLS had bad gas and odor, then had their gallbladder removed? Did this help the gas? I really need to know any experiences post op gallbladder removal that pertain to gas (increase or decrease). I have never heard anyone address their gas improving/worsening after gall bladder removal. I am certainly not in iminent need of having my gall bladder out, pain-wise. However, if it will improve my gas/odor, I would agree to it. But I just don't know if it will. Can any of you relate? Thanks so much. BTW- 3 years post op and loving life. Shelley
