how do you get the PCP office to respond?

HELP, I became eligible for the surgery under my insurance on 8/1/03, I had a appointment to see my PCP on the same day, The office turned in my request for consult with the surgeon within a hour of my visit, I was approved within 30 mins. What you ask is the problem?? Well the surgeon office requires that you have the PCP send them a letter of referral and all medical records. I ask them to do this 4 times, Each time they tell me to leave a message on the phone recorder for medical records person, I have faxed them the request and sent a Disclosure form as well, giving them permission to send the info. Today I called again and found out that the surgeon has STILL NOT GOTTEN ANYTHING! I am really getting upset, Everything was going so well and now I cant seem to get the last bit of info I need just to make the first appointment with the surgeon, Any suggestions?
