Does your pouch take a while to

I am five months PO - RNY. I try to drink at least 16 oz. of water before breakfast and then wait 15 minutes before eating. I notice that when I first drink anything in the morning, I feel some discomfort in my tummy, although the same amount of liquid later in the day does not cause discomfort. I feel like my pouch takes a while to "wake up". Does anyone else have this sensation? What've you found to be the gentlest thing to put in your tummy in the mornings?
