Just found I out I will be moving out of state 6 weeks post-op...

I am scheduled for surgery in early July, and I will be transferred for my job, out of state in late August or early September. I realize this is not ideal as I would prefer to be under the doctor's care much longer. However, I also don't think it will be ideal to be all alone in a strange city having the surgery if I wait until I get there. Considering there are no complications, for most of you, would you say that you're pretty much o.k. 6-8 weeks post op? Any other comments on this?
