I have my first period since surgery....should I expect scales to be steady

I got my period the day home from the hospital, which I hear is normal. Well, 4 weeks later it is right on schedule which is good. Now I never lost weight before during this week but would drop it later....is this what I should expect this week? (Guys...sorry about the topic!)
