Preop and Liquid Zoloft burns my throat

Hi, I am preop,scheduled for surgery in 4 days I got a RX filled for liquid Zoloft to take post op. I started it this week as I had ran out of pill. OMG it burns going down. Now I can deal with that//but I am concerned that it could hurt me inside. Any ideas? Lisa
