What can someone who is post-op take for a simple headache?

I'm pre-op, surgery in 24 days. Will I be able totake pills? Or is there an adult liquid form of tylonal? I've seen people write about opening capsules and taken them that way, but, my thinking is, if it's in a capsule, it's in it for a reason. I was just wondering, for just plain old aches and pains, what should I take? Thank you :-)
