Why can't I post to the message board?

I changed my name on my profile (bio) and now use one name. When I tried to post on the AMOS message Board, it asked me for my first and last name AND password? I didn't want to use my last name, just one name now. So does this mean that I can't post anything on the message board? Will I have to change my name back to what it was originally? That's a bummer, considering I've been a member of this site for the longest...Help!!Advice welcomed.
