Had my sleep study done, what does this mean?

I had my sleep study done laste night. The nurse said that my breathing was fine, O2 sats only dropped a few times, however, I have interupted sleep patterns. I will get the official report in a week or so. Does anyone know what this means? Will this help with qualifying for surgery? I know I only slept hard for about 3 hours as I kept looking at my watch to check the time. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
