10 months post-op and experiencing pain

The last week or so, I wake up each morning with a dull, burning sensation just below my sternum. It continues off and on through the day and get's worse again at night. It makes me feel hungry, although I don't think I am. When I drink water fast, which I have always been able to do, it flares up. Any idea what it may be? Should I see my doc - and if so which one? My surgeon, PCP, or go directly to the gastro guy? Thanks!
