Any recommendations on this surgeon or anyother- Tampa area.

I am looking into surgeonsin the Tampa area. I have heard good and not so good- so any feedback? I have actually had friends of nurses at TGH say that this Dr has a very good reputation as a surgeon. I have heard that it is a long process with this Dr- but he works through USF (teaching school) and hasn't just jumped on the WLS bandwagon looking for a profitable surgery. However, he has worked in abdominal surgery for quite some time. On the other hand, I am concerned about his mortality rate, but understand that he had a few deaths unrelated to the WLS. What do you think? I want to do the right thing! Does anyone know the web sites to check on Drs stats? Thanks and good luck to everyone! :)
