My brother had a surgery for bowel obstruction 3 days ago

He had RNY 2 months ago and developed a bowel obstruction 4 days ago. 3 days ago they operated on him. He seems to be doing OK, but he is having abdominal pain after he drinks. The pain is not severe but still it is there. I was just wondering if this is normal after this complication. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
