can we take over the counter meds

summer is here and my hay fever has kicked in im post op and i was wondering if anyone out there who suffers from hay fever take over the counter medications for it. my doctor's office is closed today so i was curious to see if any post ops out there have taken any over the counter meds for there hay fever.
