Does anyone take NEURONTIN post-op?

Okay, I tried to ask this alreay but it appears that some bug got to it,lol.~~~~ Is there anyone taking this prescription drug, "Neurontin"(ghabepentin) that is post-op? I take it pre-op for chronic back pain and have been taken off it for surgery next week. I am trying to find out if I can open the capsule post-op and if it is effective that way? If anyone knows of this drug please let me know. Thanks~
