Hey Margaret!
I started doing pilates back in Feb, 1 1/2 mo post-op. I credit it with keeping me from plateauing (I had my first just after my 6th mo check-up). I do it 6 days a week, using one I found at WalMart specifically for weight loss and conditioning. It's an hour long workout, and it has 3 different levels. I'm now on the hardest level and I still love it. OK, I like it. More like, I like what it's done for my body. My body looks better now (yes, even with the sharpei folds) than it did the last time I was anywhere near my current weight. And my surgeon's head nurse was amazed at my 6th mo appt. She said I broke all their records. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with the pilates. Do it, do it, do it.
Best wishes to you on your weight loss journey.
PS I've never hopped on the protein train. Oh, and I broke my plateau by biking 7 mi, 3 days a week, along with the pilates.
